Human Resource is the most important resource in any organization, enterprise and institution. Human resource management is defined as the processes of managing personnel, keeping in view the objectives of the institute/organization or programme or activities so as to enable them to utilize their full potential and make contributions to attain the organizational/individual objectives.
OBJECTIVES OF HUMAN RESOURCE MAMAGEMENT :
The primary objective of HRM is to ensure the availability of a component and willing work force to an organanisation. Beyond this, there are other objectives too. Specifically, HRM objectives are four folds- societal, organizational, functional, and personal.
Societal objective : To be ethically and socially responsible to the needs and challenges of the society while minimizing the negative impact of such demands upon the organization.
Organizational objective : To recognize the role of HRM in bringing about organizational effectiveness HRM is not an end in itself. It is only means to assist the organization with its primary objectives.
Functional objectives : To maintain the department’s contribution at a level appropriate to the organization’s need.
Personal objectivesTo assist employees in achieving their personal goals, at least insofar as these goals enhance the individual’s contribution to the organization
